Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three of the four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in the last two tournaments in 2025 due to a health issue she has been fighting in recent days.

At 22 years old was due to play in events in Asia but chose to travel back to rest and recuperate prior to beginning next year's training.

Her upcoming training will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She again required medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

Raducanu was also moving far from freely in the final set versus Zhu because of back discomfort that has affected her during parts of the season.

Those results followed a positive campaign, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 after a long gap since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

She held three match points then was defeated by Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

The player achieved 28 matches during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but her most impressive week was at the Miami event in March.

As Britain's top player reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way then falling in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She was coached by Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was through the season's conclusion but the partnership will continue, with a training session scheduled late this year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

She came very close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
